Patient rights.
At The Gioi Dep, every patient is treated with full dignity and human rights. Below are the fundamental rights you hold when you come to us, grounded in Vietnam's Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.
Right to information
You have the right to be informed fully and clearly, in a language you understand, about: your medical condition, the proposed treatment, its risks and potential complications, alternative treatment options, and the post-treatment prognosis.
Right to consent
No procedure is performed without your written consent. Consent must be voluntary and free from any pressure. You may ask questions until you fully understand before signing.
Right to refuse
You have the right to refuse surgery or any procedure at any point before anesthesia is administered, even after signing consent. Your decision will be respected without affecting the quality of any other care.
Right to privacy & confidentiality
Your medical information is protected under Vietnam's public health protection law. No one outside your direct care team may access your medical record without legal requirement or your consent.
Right to interpretation
If you are not fluent in Vietnamese, the hospital is responsible for providing an interpreter for your consultation and surgery. This is a standard service at no additional charge.
Right to complain
If you are not satisfied with your care, you have the right to file a complaint with the hospital's Executive Board or with the competent health regulator. Internal complaint procedure: contact info@thegioidep.vn or speak directly with the reception desk.
Right to access your medical record
You have the right to request a copy of your medical record at any time. Requests can be made in writing at the hospital. Records are provided within 5–7 business days.
